Key Benefits for Roller Conveyor Shot Blaster

Roller conveyor shot blaster G type are predominantly used to clean metal plates and profiles in a continuous through feed process.

Key Benefits:

  • A variety of roller conveyors for different uses and work speeds is available.
  • For the treatment of metal plates or profiles in the steel construction or steel preparation industries.
  • As stand alone units or integrated into an automatic transportation or sawmill/bore line.

Roller Conveyor Shot Blaster Introduction

Roller conveyor shot blaster is predominantly used to clean metal plates and profiles in a continuous through feed process. BlastKing offers a variety of roller conveyors for different uses and work speeds. The Type G range is mainly designed for the treatment of metal plates or profiles in the steel construction or steel preparation industries. The machines can be delivered as stand alone units or integrated into an automatic transportation or sawmill/bore line.

The Type G range is offered with through feed widths from 600mm to 3000mm. The blasting wheels are positioned vertically to the flow direction of the roller conveyor.BK 600, BK 1000 and BK 1500 are fitted with 4 shot blast wheels. The BK 2000 can be fitted with either 4 or 6 wheels. The bigger machines, BK 2500 and BK 3000, can be fitted with either 6 or 8 shot blast wheels. The 6 wheel version is used for treating plates or smaller profiles, whereas the 8 wheel version is mainly recommended for blasting profiles.

Shot Blasting Cabinet and Abrasive Removal Unit

As with all BlastKing roller conveyors Blast Machines the shot blasting cabinet liner is manufactured completely from high manganese. High manganese has a property which is hard enough to deal with the shot blasting from 35HRC to more than 60HRC. They are attached from the outside and are easy to replace. When aggressive shot is used, additional lining of high manganese, tool steel or cast material can be provided.

To avoid shot leakage, several rubber layers or curtains are fitted in areas of heavy wear. These are mounted in a V-Track and are easy to replace. After the blasting process, the workpiece may still be in blast media, which must be cleaned off. This task is carried out by a rotating brush and a high blow off station. The brush is fitted with securely attached brush segments, which are interchangeable.

To avoid blast media building up on long parts, the rotation brushes remove the spent abrasive from the workpieces surface into a specially designed trough which has a screw conveyor taking the media back into circulation. To keep the position between the brushes and the screw conveyor constant when blasting different sized work pieces, both are built with the same adjustable framework. Finally any remaining media on the work pieces will be removed by the blow off station, which is mounted on the same framework and uses high pressure ventilators to blow off any media remaining.

BlastKing ORICA Blast Turbine

BlastKing group have the patented technology of the direct drive blasting turbine which motor power from 22kw to 75kw.

Our blasting turbine adopt Germany coupling technology, compared with the old belt drive technology, BlastKing’blasting turbine increases life on wheel parts 50% to 100% compared to other direct drive wheels. And the effective trouble free running time increases more than 200%. Longer parts life means lower operating costs and greater productivity.

Blasting turbine impeller: the impeller adopt Wear-resistant alloy with carburizing treatment. The carburized and quenched 20CrMnMo Impeller body are made of a one-time processing by high-precision CNC machining center, which to ensure the balance, low noise and long life during high speed operation.

Use the Sweden SKF bearings.

Blades, wear parts are made of high chromium Cr27 investment casting which ensures high abrasion resistance, the service life is up to 2000 hours, which is 3 times of the ordinary casting material;

Using Germany Schenck dynamic balance instrument to ensure that the high-speed dynamic balance of the impeller.

All blast turbines are load test before assembled.

BlastKing adopt the the forefront FEY sealing technology for our blast wheel, which provide complete protection to the spindle seat and internal drive system.

No-belt drive solve the daily maintenance of the blast wheel.

Germany’s technology direct coupling blast wheel is Asia’s most advanced blast wheel which power consumption can save up to 20%.

Cartridge Filter Unit

Each BlastKing machine is equipped with multiple cartridge filters. Above all these filters are necessary to remove any impurities from the air used to blast resulting in a more even, direct, and effective blast.

To sum up, benefits experienced with the BlastKing’ cartridge filters:

  • Large distance between folds in each cartridge filter leads to precise cleaning and better air pressure.
  • Most importantly, the impact separator within the cartridge filter unit ensures that the broken down fines are separated (which protects the filter cartridge against unnecessary wear).
  • And easy exchange of cartridge filters.
  • Further, correct contact pressure.
  • Moreover, low compressed air consumption.
  • In addition, constant cleaning, from top to bottom, due to conical design of the cartridge filter.

FAQ

BlastKing’s Shot Blaster is designed for customers who require a more sophisticated method than just manual cleaning in preparation for further processing or painting.

The BlastKing’s Shot Blaster is designed to use the round steel shot, steel grit, steel cut wire, stainless steel shot, etc. In a word, The shot is recycled inside the system and gets smaller and smaller during the blasting process until it is completely consumed. It requires approximately two ton blasting media for start-up, and the whole blasting unit will consume approximately 10 to 20 pounds blasting media per blasting hour.

The electrical system runs on three-phase input, so please check your existing tranformer capacity before get the machine. Moreover, the whole blasting unit also need clean and dry compressed air supply.

The BlastKing’s highly efficient ORICA blast turbines require much less power than competitor’s blasting turbines.

Technically speaking, including abrasive consumption, power consumption, and maintenance, the total operating cost averages around US$5 to  US$15 per hour, but this is relevant to the power price, blasting media quality and price, etc. When comparing this to your current methods, keep in mind that the BlastKing’s shot blaster is at least 4 to 20 times as productive as manual cleaning.

No, once the machine is installed and adjusted by our skilled employees, any people who have been sucessfully trained by BlastKing’s qualified employees can operate and maintain the blasting unit under the operation manual provided by BlastKing .

For BlastKing’s standard blasting unit, one people will be enough. But for the custom complex production line integrated with shot blaster, the number of operators is varied according to the other accesssory equipment and the whole line automaticity.
